Volunteer & Class Coordinator
At Cooking Up our mission is to enhance the health and wellbeing of people facing challenging circumstances by enabling them to cook healthy, tasty food for themselves and their families. We are focused on supporting people through the cost of living crisis, reducing food poverty, enabling social interaction and supporting communities.
Set up in 2022, Cooking Up is now delivering a range of community cookery courses across the borough of Richmond upon Thames supported by a fantastic team of 30 volunteers. In order to expand our operations and meet the on-going demand for our cookery courses, we are looking for an experienced volunteer and class coordinator to join our team.
As the volunteer and class coordinator, you will play a vital role in this expansion. Reporting to the trustees, the volunteer and class coordinator will oversee all elements of volunteering including managing and recruiting volunteers, delivering training and supervision and monitoring and evaluating their performance.
Additionally, the role includes coordinating the cookery classes including working with client organisations to schedule classes, processing bookings, assigning facilitators and volunteers to the sessions and coordinating the food and equipment logistics required for the classes.
The role is mainly remote with weekly team meetings in Teddington.
As you will be joining a young charity, there will be scope to develop the role as the charity grows.
The closing date for applications is 25th November and interviews will take place during the first week of December.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
