Are you passionate about ensuring older people have a voice which is heard and considered in the local area?

We are recruiting an Older People’s reference Group and Policy officer to lead the development of a reference group in Southwark. The group will reserach and produce experience based reports on local issues to inform local policy and service development decisions.  This exciting new initiative which will form a cohort of older people in Southwark able to provide informed opinions and reports to Southwark Council and other bodies on areas of potential development of change.

You will be responsible for recruiting a diverse cohort of suitable older people, including those who are traditionally more difficult to reach. You would build their confidence and skills through delivering training, organising workshops and supporting each older volunteer in a person centred way to contribute toward reference group reports.
