About this opportunity

We are looking for a new advocate to join our established team. The service is to provide advocacy to children and young people involved in Child Protection

The Advocate will be required to support children and young people in a range of settings and locations within Stockport. The advocate will ensure that the child’s wishes and feelings are taken into consideration when decisions are being made about their lives. Applicants will need to work with a degree of flexibility to accommodate short notice referrals and changing circumstances which occur in children’s lives.

Coram Voice is looking for a wide variety of people to take on our roles, however we would particularly welcome applications from care leavers or individuals with experience of being ‘looked after’ by the state. We are also actively encouraging applicants from Asian, African and Caribbean backgrounds to join our team. We recognise we are a predominantly white workforce and are genuinely committed to encouraging candidates from diverse communities in order to improve the services to the children and young people we help.
