About CoramBAAF

With a 40-year history, CoramBAAF is the leading professional membership body in the UK for family placement practice. It is dedicated to improving the outcomes of children and young people in care by supporting the UK wide community of agencies which work with them. CoramBAAF is accountable to its own board of directors and operates to support and represent members, champion best practice and provide high quality policy and practice guidance, advice, training and resources.

CoramBAAF Policy Research and Development Team (PRD) is comprised of a director, two administrators (including this post) and a team of six specialist consultants who provide information and advice to CoramBAAF's members across topics including, social work, law and health. CoramBAAF's managing director is the overall manager of this team.

The team consults widely with CoramBAAF members through a range of meetings including Advisory Committees, Special Interest Groups and Practice Forums, and the post reports to the Director of PRD's personal assistant (PA).

Purpose of the Role

To work closely with the Director of PRD's personal assistant (PA) to provide:

  • Business support to the managing director (MD) in relation to their PRD Team Manager responsibilities.
  • Administrative support to PRD's team of consultants including co-ordinating a wide range of meetings and taking minutes at those meetings, as required.
