These include services for people with a variety of needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and dementia.

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance will have the primary responsibility for leading and managing the Finance function to ensure strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring, and reporting to enhance the decision-making process for Cornerstone. You’ll ensure that the charity complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations, establishing long-term financial stability. This will include business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations and oversight of financial IT systems. As a complex organisation, Cornerstone need structured reporting and planning to enable them to address the needs of the people who use their services. The Director of Finance will actively participate in the Resources Committee and the Board in terms of providing insight into the finances of the charity, providing not only descriptive but predictive data to inform decision making.

You’ll have a strong Finance Team around you and will be part of a business partnering methodology that fosters positive and proactive relationships with colleagues and other key stakeholders. You’ll coach, support, value and empower your team members and help them to embrace change and strive for continuous improvement.

BTA are leading the search to find Cornerstone a good leader with ambition and conviction and the ability and desire to inspire colleagues at all levels. Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, you’ll have the ability to lead a highly performing team with a commitment to coaching and mentoring to empower others.

Experience of working within the charity sector or social care is not essential, but you need to have working knowledge of charity account regulations. With a professional qualification on a related discipline (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA) you’ll also have experience of working within a dispersed organisation of similar size.
