Corpus Christi College is seeking to appoint a Senior Development Manager. The newly appointed Director of Alumni Relations and Development is building a team to support the College in a new phase of its fundraising and alumni development activities. The successful applicant will become part of a friendly, close-knit community of Fellows, students and staff, within a beautiful, small historic College, which dates back to 1352.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, well-organised and articulate Senior Development Manager to be part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive team. Reporting to the Development Director, you will play a key role in forming relationships with donors to secure their lifelong financial support to their College.
The postholder manages the Annual Fund, Telephone Campaign, targeted web and mail campaigns, and the College’s legacy programme (The 1352 Foundation Society). Your work on the Legacy programme will continue a centuries old tradition that can be traced back to Margaret Andrews’ will in 1349, which provided the impetus and imagination to found our College.
You will evaluate and deliver newer forms of regular giving projects such as digital fundraising, Giving Days and country specific activity. The post holder also oversees a portfolio of donors and prospects to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward as appropriate. Other key areas will include managing the growth and stewardship of the Friends of Corpus scheme, and our career networking and mentoring platforms. Skilled at building relationships, you will represent the DARO within College and at external alumni events. Through your work you will raise significant funds for the College, with annually agreed targets.
As a senior member of the team, the Senior Development Manager will be central to the achievement of ambitious fundraising goals, with a revival of focus in this area, in line with the strategic plans of the College. This is a career-enhancing opportunity to get involved in the early stages of these plans by working on the articulation of new fundraising projects. The Senior Development Manager plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the relations between the College, its members, and other potential supporters, encouraging a steady growth of support for Corpus annually.
Candidates should have annual fund, regular giving, direct mail or telephone fundraising experience. The position will suit anyone who is now wanting to offer their services to this exceptional collegiate community, on the cusp of a new fundraising campaign. It is an exciting post for someone who enjoys a busy and demanding workload, is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and has a passion for the detailed planning and organisation required to deliver a successful telephone campaign and other mass fundraising events.
This is a full-time, permanent appointment. You will receive a competitive salary, excellent benefits and conditions of employment, including a pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, car parking and use of College facilities.
