Job description

The Integration Project at Coventry Citizens Advice supports the resettlement of refugees into Coventry. We are looking for someone to support the Integration team, including the Housing officers and the Caseworkers, in their operation enabling newly arrived individuals and families to settle into their new lives.

The project is funded by Coventry City Council and the Home Office to deliver resettlement services to former Afghan interpreters and their families who helped British Army in Afghanistan. Alongside this, we support individuals and families from Syria, Iraq, North Africa, Yemen and the Middle East moving to Coventry through the UK Government managed Resettlement Programmes.

The support work include a preparation phase prior to client arrival, followed by ongoing support around housing, finance, health, education and employment, in co-operation with key partners and other support services across the city.

You will have an understanding of current Welfare Benefits system, housing regulations, and financial management. Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work within a diverse team and with a number of partners across the city is essential.
