The Citizens Advice Service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing information and advice, and by influencing policymakers.
We are currently looking to recruit a Money Mentor to join our Breakthrough team. Breakthrough is a joint European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community funded programme that intends to provide intensive support to clients to address the financial barriers they face to gaining and sustaining employment and taking a full and active role in their community.
As a Money Mentor you will help break down the barriers that people face to help them get closer to the job market by offering support on a range of issues. You will help and mentor individuals around financial capability, deal with issues around benefits, housing and debt. You will help them to gain work experience and to build their confidence and wellbeing. You will help to find appropriate training courses, look for volunteering opportunities and support clients to become work ready.
