The Diocese of Coventry is seeking to appoint a full time Programme Manager to help the Diocese deliver its ambitions for a culture change in making and growing new Disciples, and in developing a more mission focussed approach to the planning and deployment of Resources. This post reports to the Archdeacon Missioner and is based in Coventry.
The main responsibilities are:
Provide focused activity in the short term by working with the Archdeacon Missioner and Diocesan secretary in the consultation, development work and preparation of an ambitious application for Strategic Development Funding for a Coventry /Nuneaton Church planting and community transformation programme.
Provide leadership and programme management of the New Worshiping Communities /Church Planting Strategy implementation in line with the ‘Worshipping God, Making new disciples and transforming communities’ vision and strategy of the Diocese of Coventry.
Develop a programme from initial set up through to successful delivery.Reporting to key stakeholders via the Bishops Strategy Integration Group.
The successful applicant will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, have a proven track record in project/programme management, experience of enabling change in organisations, be highly organised and have good IT skills, particularly MS Office.
A demonstrable understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Church of England, being called to proclaim afresh the Christian Faith in each generation is essential. It is therefore an Occupational Requirement (Schedule 9 part 1 of the Equality Act 2010) of this post to have a committed Christian faith.
