The focus of this role is to provide housing management, support and resettlement advice, advocacy and liaison to residents with a history of substance misuse and offending behaviour. This involves developing effective relationships with residents and stakeholders; you will also undertake one-to-one key work, support planning, risk assessments and facilitating resident meetings.
You will need experience of direct client work, have an understanding of harm minimisation techniques, and possess the ability to organise daily routines, informal work and be able to motivate clients. You will enable clients to gain the skills and confidence to live independent lives and will foster social inclusion. This includes engaging with the individual around their substance misuse and ensuring their effective and sustained engagement in treatment, as well as engaging in education, training and employment.
