Community Development Worker
28 hours per week (37 fte)
Salary £19,061 (full-time equivalent: £25,188)
Crawley Community and Voluntary Service advocates for, and supports, the wide range of organisations making a positive difference to local communities in Crawley and the surrounding area. We are going through an exciting reinvention right now. With a new Chief Executive appointed in July 2019 and a new Community Development Manager appointed in October 2019, we’re refining our community focus and redeveloping our offer to members.
In addition, we’ve begun reinvigorating our relationship with Crawley Borough Council and our partners in the West Sussex Community and Voluntary Sector Alliance as well as engaging with partners and sponsors in the private sector.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Community Development Worker to support and enable charities, community groups and social enterprises on their journey to becoming effective and sustainable. Bringing your skills and enthusiasm to supporting voluntary and community action, you will provide vital advice, support and training/learning opportunities to help local organisations start, grow and thrive.
Reporting to, and working with the Community Development Manager, you will be part of the Outreach Team working to Service Level Agreements within the organisation, which you will be a part of developing and monitoring.
