We are recruiting for a Centre Coordinator for a co-production hub in Manchester City Centre. The centre houses our successful 25 years running membership/co-production service and also offers a home to a range of creative, well-being and corporate activities. The successful candidate will be a passionate, creative, flexible and motivated individual who is willing to coordinate all the functions of the centre and develop the service over the next 5-10 years.
There are five key elements to the role:
Centre coordination of the groups and activities
Co-production and development of the membership model
Ensuring a business model that is sustainable and enterprising and utilises volunteers
Promoting events, arts and wellbeing activities that support and contribute to the aims of Creative Support
Developing and overseeing the virtual service user Zoom programme
The successful post holder will be a dynamic, organised and visionary person who is able to be the frontline leader of the initiative. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a firm background in social inclusion work and preferably in social care. You will be able to engage a range of stakeholders including the Board and external partners. You will have proven experience in a relevant community setting and the insight and skills to review and develop the centre. We are looking to recruit a practical person who will ensure a safe and well managed space.
Based in the vibrant Northern Quarter in Manchester the centre is an ideal location to attract new membership and host a range of creative and inclusive events which are self-sustaining and further the aims of Creative Support. The centre works in a Covid safe way and utilises social media to engage with service users nationally as well as holding face to face sessions. We have a well loved Nourish community café which offers high quality food and encourages volunteering.
Due to the nature of the service the work hours will be largely 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but there will be a need for regular flexibility for evenings and weekends (at least one evening a fortnight and some weekend working). There is an established, experienced and diverse team involved in the centre who work closely together to ensure we meet the needs of the service.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
