Do you have the commitment and positive values to make a difference to the lives of people living in Birmingham?
Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs. The Mental Health Recovery and Employment Service is delivered from our vibrant and engaging Recovery Hubs, providing support for individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems. The Recovery Hubs offer a combination of one-to-one goal planning, personalised interventions, recovery college sessions, peer support and community social groups.
The Sessional Activity Worker – Employability Specialist role will work with service users to identify their vocational needs and then provide tailored support to help them achieve their volunteering or employment goals. The Sessional Activity Workers will work both within our Hubs services and in the local community to plan and deliver recovery focussed, stimulating one-to-one and group sessions for our service users. The role will involve delivering a combination of practical support and guidance to prepare service users to overcome any barriers to obtaining employment.
Our timetable is updated every three months and new or alternative sessions will always be considered. We are particularly interested in applicants that have an up to date knowledge of Benefits and Budgeting.
