Job description

Creative Support is a national, fast growing, not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently looking for a Team Leader to coordinate and manage our Accrington service, which mainly provides support to older people.


You will line manage an established team of care workers, ensuring the highest standard of personalised support is delivered to individuals at the service. You will be an excellent communicator, delivering direct care to our service users, organising staff deployment and supervision and participating in joint working with families, other agencies and the wider community.


Team Leader Duties:


  • The deployment and coordination of your team as efficiently as possible in relation to the needs and preferences of service users

  • The assessment of service users’ individual aspirations, preferences and needs, devising effective Personal Support Plans with each service user

  • The provision of excellent customer care to service users and their families

  • Providing staff with personal support, informal/formal supervision and ensuring any training and development needs are identified and met

  • Ensuring best practice across the service


Our Accrington service has good links to public transport, with the local bus and train station located a 15 minute walk away. You will be based in one location, overseeing the delivery of the service, although occasional travel may be expected to support two other services in the area.


You must have prior experience of managing or coordinating care and support services for older people, as well as a relevant qualification (such as an NVQ or Health & Social Care Diploma).
