I am working with a representing body that has over 17,000 members.
My client is looking to recruit a HR Officer. This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.
They offer a flexible working approach with 1-2 days per week in their Holborn office with the remainder of the week working remotely.
Salary & Benefits
- £33,480 - £38,200 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Role
Responsible for providing support and advice on the full range of activities that form the employee life cycle. This includes recruitment, payroll processing, benefits administration, pensions reconciliation, employee relations activities and some project work.
Duties
- Supporting hiring Managers on recruitment campaigns and best practice and ensuring that recruitment needs are understood.
- Advising managers on recruitment policy, methods, JDs, skills needed, advertising methods and best practice.
- Coordinating recruitment processes, assisting with updating job descriptions, preparing
- job advert templates, advertising roles across internal/external job boards, and setting up roles on the recruitment system.
- Advising candidates of the outcome of their application, arranging interviews, handling interview feedback requests with the relevant managers
- Leading on the monthly payroll processing as well collating monthly payroll instructions
- Working with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accuracy before signoff.
- Monitoring & managing probation periods, sickness absence triggers and end of fixed term contracts.
- Processing starters, leavers and staff changes
- Ensure the accuracy of employee data and HR system records are up to date.
- Leading on documenting core employment / HR processes
- Carrying out exit interviews for staff and collating data for inclusion in SMT HR Reports
- Producing basic HR statistical reporting
- Act as first point of contact for line managers on operational HR matters including policy queries, employee relations.
- Maintaining monitoring systems for sickness absence and reporting issues to line managers with recommendations on actions
- Supporting line managers on ER matters including informal or first stage meetings.
- Provide administration and oversight of the benefits provision for the organisation.
- Support the HR Director in the delivery of HR and OD projects as required in support of people strategy.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of engagement, wellbeing, ED&I and L&D initiatives and events.
