About the Role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
As a Hospital Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate you will:
- implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
- provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic & sexual abuse
- work in a multi-agency framework
- run group training sessions sharing your specialist knowledge
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- Good communication skills, a proactive approach & ability to influence service delivery
- Knowledge of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic and sexual abuse

About the role:
This role is a hybrid working role based in the Family Wellbeing Hub of the Children's Social Care Department at Merton Civic Centre.
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

We are looking for 3 part time facilitators to be based at either HMP Rochester (21 hours per week) or HMP Standford Hill (14 hours per week). Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison-based. About the role:
You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.
These roles are based in our Victim Care Unit in Ashford. There may be an option to split the work between home and the office dependant upon personal circumstances and subject to GDPR and safe working practices. This would involve three days office based and two days remote working. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm or 12pm and 8pm. Shifts are designated on a rota basis and scheduled well in advance so you can plan ahead. You will be working within a supportive team that is part of a large independent charity which offers the opportunity to develop skills to enhance your ongoing personal development.

About the role:
This role is based at the National Contact Centre, Cardiff.
As a Team Leader you will be:
- Providing leadership, advice and guidance to your team and monitor the progress and quality of work across the contact centre.

About the role:
This role is based at Whitecross Studios in London. Hybrid working is available.
As an independent witness advocate you you will lead on providing pre-trial, outreach and post-trial support for witnesses; ensuring their pre and post-trial needs are assessed and a plan for support is put in place so they can attend court to give their best evidence. You will provide advocacy, support in court, and emotional/practical support around their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing. You will liaise with criminal justice partners to ensure witnesses are kept up to date with arrangements for attendance at court and where applicable, ensure special measures have been granted.
You will be expected to provide practical and emotional support in a way that is approachable, flexible and caring, showing empathy at all times. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and being able to solve problems and surmount the challenges posed by the criminal justice system.

About the Role:
The Triage and Early Intervention Officer (TEIO) will be responsible for making initial contact with children and young people who may require support after experiencing domestic abuse.
You will be responsible for completing risk and impact assessments for children and young people who have experienced abuse in their own relationships, abuse in the family home, as well as those who have experienced domestic abuse and started to become abusive themselves.
You will speak on the telephone to children and young people (or their parent/carers), who have experienced domestic abuse in the home and complete a risk assessment, course suitability form and client agreement form. During the call you will provide practical and emotional support in a way that is flexible and caring, listening carefully to what is being said and showing empathy at all times.

About the role:
This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working, travel will also be required to other VS offices across London. As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will:
- Conduct needs & risk assessments to ensure each CYP receives tailored support that fully meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
- Provide one-to-one support to children & young people living in families affected by domestic abuse
- Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases, providing specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
- Regularly review the assessment of risk, ensuring appropriate action is taken, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes
- Consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service
- Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, attending meetings as required
- TAdvocate on behalf of children & young people to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met
You will need:
- Direct experience of working with vulnerable children and young people
- The ability to work in creative and appropriate ways to engage with children and young people
- Knowledge of risk assesment & appropriate actions to safeguard children and young people
- An understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse
- Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work
- Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, databases, internet and Outlook

About the Role:

You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between either 8am and 4pm, 10am and 6pm or 12pm and 8pm. You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 Saturday per month 8am to 4pm where you will receive a day off in lieu during the week. Shifts are designated on a rota basis which is given in advance.

About the role:
This role will be part of our IDVA team in the London Victim and Witness Service. As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Address the safety of victims at high risk of harm from intimate partners, ex-partners or family members to secure their safety and the safety of their children.
- Serve as a victim's primary point of contact by working with their clients from the point of crisis to assess the level of risk, discuss the range of suitable options and develop safety plans.
- Be pro-active in implementing the plans, including actions from MARAC, which address immediate safety and enable victims to protect themselves and their children, as well as longer term solutions, using sanctions and services via criminal and civil courts, housing options and other organisations.
You will need:
- knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse
- a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- to understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these
- experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people.
- good communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
- strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
