About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to work alongside mental health team in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 5th July 2025. This is a key role working alongside the ELFT team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to court staff, criminal justice agencies and local partners
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
- A driving license and use of a car as this is a countywide role.

About the Role:
This role is based in Bedfordshire with consideration given to hybrid working. As an Independent Stalking Advocate you will be:
- providing a high quality support & advocacy service to victims of stalking
- working closely with our current Domestic Abuse Stalking Advocate, providing cover for this role as required
- managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
- working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe

You will need:

- Ideally you will hold a ISAC or SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with victims of stalking and/or domestic abuse

About the role:
The position is based at our Lewes Crown Court office, working 15 hours per week Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm. Hybrid working meaning 1 day office based and 1 day home based.
As a Young Witness Service Caseworker you will be:
- Supporting child and young person witnesses and victims of crime by providing information along with practical & emotional help

About the roles:
These roles offer flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients across London is required. Office locations are Islington & Earl's Court.
As a Triage Caseworker you will cover shifts on a rota basis Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. You will make initial contact with clients explaining Victim Supports services & completing initial needs & risks assessment, and were required making ongoing referrals. You will need experience of delivering a telephone work and processing service with clients in a similar setting along with knowledge around safeguarding issues and legislation.
You will need to be able to manage a demanding workload and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.

We currently have an opportunity for Initial Support Agents (known internally as Triage & Early Intervention Officers) to join the team based at Ingatestone, Essex. These roles are full time working shifts 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with the option of hybrid working.

The Role
You will be supporting people on the telephone, by text or email from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same and you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience.
These roles are based in the Essex office in Ingatestone. There may be an option for hybrid working between home and the office. You will be working within a supportive team that is part of a large independent charity which offers the opportunity to develop skills to enhance your ongoing personal development. Working pattern will be either 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday or 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
About You
Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. However, you will need to have excellent telephone and IT skills as you are required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements. Listen to Families is an innovative new service to improve prison healthcare by involving families and carers more proactively in the process. A pilot project - the first of its kind - has been running in London for around 18 months. It seeks to create mechanisms and opportunities for families to be heard and influence how healthcare services are delivered and developed.
The service listens to the views and experiences of families, feeds that back to the NHS and providers, makes recommendations about where improvements could be made, and works with them to co-produce solutions with people who have lived experience.
This role holder will set up a similar pilot project in four prisons in the South East – HMPs Elmley, Downview, Huntercombe and Aylesbury. This is an opportunity for someone to join and shape the delivery of the project from the day one.
