Fearless Outreach Worker - Kent
37.5 hours per week

Fearless is the youth brand for Crimestoppers UK, the only national crime reduction charity. Our work is focused on helping young people make informed decisions about reporting crime.
We have a really important message; we don’t want any young person to live with, or in fear of crime, so we provide awareness workshops and the ability to report crime anonymously, without having to go to the police. Fearless is recruiting a full-time outreach worker to deliver this message to young people across Kent.
As an outreach worker, you will deliver a Fearless programme, working with young people in a variety of settings including schools and youth groups delivering age-appropriate workshops. So we are looking for people who are dynamic, passionate and have a natural ability to engage young people.
Alongside this you will contribute to our professionals training – we’ve already trained 2,000 professionals to deliver the Fearless message to the young people that they work with, and we want to expand this effort across London. You’ll be working in partnership with stakeholders including the local authority, school liaison officers, schools, youth centre workers, Office of the Police and Crime Commission, Kent Police, pupil referral units and youth charities.
As you will regularly come in to contact with young people, the successful applicant will be asked to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service application.
