Currently we are inviting applications for an inspirational Art and Photography Tutor to join our dynamic, multi-disciplined team at Crisis Skylight Croydon. This is an exciting new role, aiming to support adults with a range of needs to use their creativity as a crucial part of their journey out of homelessness.

About the role
As Art and Photography tutor, you will be creating and delivering a rich mix of exciting visual arts classes, projects and workshops, both inhouse and through outreach, for adults with a wide range of needs. You will also regularly review members’ progress, supporting their development of skills and enjoyment in art and photography, and contributing to the whole team’s work to keep them moving forward in their journey out of homelessness. Opportunities to be involved in ways of curating, sharing and exhibiting members’ work is also a part of this role.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be a skilled artist and teacher, able to demonstrate your passion and experience in using art and photography practices in combination with a range of review tools to help measure and support significant positive change in the lives of those affected by homelessness. Empathy, warmth, humour, and the ability to build positive relationships with people are qualities that are as important as the creative skills required to do this job effectively, as well as openness to new ways of working.
