Job Description

About us

This is an exciting time to join us in the role of Director of Operations.
In 2018 Crisis marked our 50th anniversary by publishing “Everybody in: a plan to end homelessness in Great Britain” as well as starting on an ambitious 5 - year strategy to end homelessness.

As part of this, our direct services are embarking upon a significant change programme to ensure we end the homelessness for as many of our members, who use our services, as possible. We are introducing a new case management system to support this work, and help ensure we have the information we need on what is working best within our services, as well as using the best possible national and international evidence to shape investment decisions over the next few years.

We want our services to be as effective and inclusive as possible, and help inform our campaigns and policy work by demonstrating approaches and practices that end homelessness.

About the role

The Director of Operations roles offer a real opportunity to influence and contribute to ending homelessness for the people we work with directly, as well as across Great Britain.

There are two different vacancies, a Director of Operations (Central and North) £65,000 per annum and Director of Operations (London, South & Christmas) £69,000 per annum

The role

We are looking for someone with an understanding of services for people who are homeless and have complex needs. You will be driven to achieve positive outcomes with and for some of the most excluded individuals in our society.

The perfect candidate will be able to get into the detail and help develop the systems we need to quality assure and evidence our work. You will be able to empower and develop your teams and the local Skylight Directors to add capacity and ensure we can take advantage of new opportunities and contribute at a strategic level.
