This is an exciting time to join our innovative and dynamic Birmingham Essential Skills team as we work to end the homelessness of our members by supporting their learning and inclusion needs.
About the role
As Essential Skills and Inclusion tutor you will be responsible for the delivery of basic skills sessions in literacy, numeracy and digital inclusion. You will work across teams in a reflective, proactive way to ensure best outcomes for your learners and individuals for whom you are a lead worker.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in delivering essential skills sessions and hold or working towards a teaching qualification.
Display effective inclusion practices with a working knowledge of accessibility issues, specifically those related to digital inclusion, additional learning needs and ESOL.
Have experience of working with vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach adults and/or young people.
Have experience of delivering personalised outcomes within an ever-changing environment.
The ability to build positive relationships with people from all sectors.
