Job Description

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

About the role

As our first Head of Policy and Communications in Scotland, you will lead our agenda to achieve positive and lasting change to tackle and end homelessness. 

Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based a progressive agenda on homelessness, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. 

This new role will oversee Crisis’ political and communications work in Scotland, leading a team that also supports the service delivery, marketing and fundraising objectives of our growing operation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be:
- a campaigner with a track record of delivering results
- comfortable with policy detail
- an expert communicator to many different types of audience 
- an expert in leading motivated teams 

We need a passionate advocate for ending homelessness who has a proven ability to lead teams that achieve positive social change. 

Above all this, you will share our organisational values, which are central to all that we do.
