Crisis Skylight Croydon is located in the heart of the borough on Surrey Street in Croydon, directly next to the market in the centre of Croydon. Our Skylight offers 1-1 coaching around progression, work and learning, mental health and housing to support individuals to end their homelessness. In addition, we work closely with partner agencies including the street outreach team, homeless health team, mental health outreach service, Job Centre Plus and drug and alcohol outreach teams.
About the role
As Housing and Progression Team Leader you will support the Progression Manager to lead a team of inspirational coaches and learning staff delivering life changing services to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so.
You will be directly responsible for the line management of a number of staff and will deputise as manager for the team as a whole in the absence of the Progression Manager.
Management responsibilities include leading on case management and progression team meetings, delivering 1-1 supervision and Annual Performance Reviews.
In addition, you will hold a small caseload of cases relevant to your skills and experience and will deliver 1-1 coaching and IAG, supporting your members to leave homelessness behind for good.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven line management experience including managing employee performance and supporting staff through a period of change
- Understanding of coaching approaches and the ability to ensure coaching interventions are being delivered to a high standard
- Experience of working with socially excluded and/or vulnerable people and understanding barriers they face to bring about positive change, particularly entrenched rough sleepers
