This is an exciting time to join the Housing First team, a new service for Crisis which offers open-ended, flexible and intensive support to people who are face multiple disadvantages.
About the role
As Housing First Team Leader, you will take a person-lead, holistic and trauma-informed approach to the support of members. You will provide effective line management to Housing First coaches in line with Housing First principles.
We are currently recruiting 2 Team Leaders. One will line manage the existing Housing First team and the other will line manage a new Housing First team. For the new Housing First team, work will initially focus on providing a short-term housing led approach for a caseload of 10-15 people experiencing homelessness including those in temporary and emergency accommodation, facilitating access to more stable accommodation as part of the exit from hotel provision. This is part of the London response to the coronavirus pandemic. Once this phase is complete, the focus will move to provision of a longer-term Housing First service.
To be successful in this role you will be committed to the Housing First approach and principles, and to Crisis’ purpose and values including equality and social inclusion.
You will have experience of line managing and motivating a team - supporting those with multiple and complex needs - and taking a creative approach to managing change.
