Crisis Skylight Brent, based in Harlesden, provides support to individuals affected by homelessness around housing, wellbeing, training, employment and volunteering, and support to progress towards leading independent lives.

About the role
Crisis Brent is currently recruiting for an Initial Contact and Engagement Advisor to join our team to work in an exceptional reception service at our Skylight. The successful candidate will work with the Skylight team to provide a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to the growing number of individuals who approach Crisis Brent for support. As the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers and, supporters. The Initial Contact and Engagement Advisor is required to provide information about Crisis services as well as Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services and signpost accordingly.

You will receive a full induction, ongoing training and regular supervision to support you in this role.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and delivering reception and customer service functions, providing excellent customer care and the application of strong administration skills to ensure smooth service delivery. You will be committed to working within a psychologically-informed environment, delivering a high-quality service to vulnerable groups of people to support them on their journey out of homelessness. Candidates will have to demonstrate boundaried and empathetic approaches to managing challenging situations and behaviours ensuring relevant processes and procedures are followed.
