Recruitment during COVID-19 restrictions
During the COVID-19 restrictions, our interviews will be by video call.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be supported to work from home for the initial period where restrictions on non-essential travel are in place.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert advice on welfare rights and entitlements for people facing homelessness, including those who may appear to have no recourse to public funds, to contribute to Crisis’ mission of ending homelessness. Advice and assistance will be offered on an internal consultancy basis to Crisis Skylight staff to enable them to advocate for their clients. For complex cases, more direct involvement will be required including direct work with members and advocacy to relevant agencies.
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience of working in the welfare benefits sector. You will enjoy working across Client Services providing good quality advice and support as well as developing and delivering training to Skylight staff.
Your knowledge and expertise will contribute to the development of policy, practice and campaigns work by providing examples of where welfare policy and/or practice contributes to the perpetuating or creating homelessness.
