This is an exciting time to join our Newcastle Skylight. The Housing First service, funded by Crisis for 3 years will develop, evidence and share best practice delivering person-centered, flexible, open-ended packages of support, advice and assistance to people who are/have been living on the streets or in multiple supported housing placements. This is to enable them to access and maintain a safe and secure home of their own, which offers open-ended, flexible and intensive support to people who are face multiple disadvantages.

About the role
You’ll join our new Housing First Service based in our Newcastle Skylight at an exciting time, delivering an outstanding property procurement service across the private and social rented sector and contributing to the delivery of Housing First and our existing Skylight members. Working alongside Housing First Coach services, you will identify appropriate matches of tenants and homes.
It’s a role requiring a creative approach as you partner with both Social and Private landlords and our members. You will work collaboratively with the Housing First Coach to ensure tenants receive the support they need to sustain their homes and landlord relationships are nurtured. There is scope for development of the role and plenty of support. It’s a fantastic opportunity!
You’re known for your creative approach to solving problems and you have experience of sourcing, procuring, allocating homes and making tenancies work for tenants and landlords. You know the Newcastle housing market and the barriers and opportunities faced by people moving out of homelessness and into housing. Understanding of housing law is essential along with the ability to develop, build and maintain key relationships.
