Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic our amazing supporters have continued to show their commitment to Crisis, in many cases giving and fundraising in new ways, so that we could adapt our frontline services and still be there for people without a safe and stable place to call home. As we move out of restrictions, we need some extra help to make sure we keep that momentum going.
About the role
In this six-month fixed term role, you’ll work with colleagues across the regions and countries, where we need to cover periods of temporary staff absence, to help deliver urgent projects and events, provide an excellent supporter experience and allow us to continue to attract funding from communities, individuals, trusts and companies.
Available immediately, you’ll be an experienced regional and/or community fundraiser and networker, with a proven ability to steward a wide variety of supporters across multiple income streams, implement fundraising plans and contribute to project teams. You will share our passion and commitment to ending homelessness and will put Crisis supporters and members at the heart of our work.
This role is a 6 months maternity cover role and can be located at either our Edinburgh or London skylight.
We want Crisis to be an inclusive employer which then reflects our members and the communities we work in. We want to offer opportunities to everyone regardless of their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation or age. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness.
Working at Crisis
As a member of the team you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:
- Interest free loans to purchase a train season ticket or a bike or for a deposit to secure a tenancy

- 25 days’ annual leave which increases with service to 28 days
Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience and career.
