About the role
As Senior Internal Communications Officer – Services, you’ll be joining a small but growing internal communciations team and will play a key role in Crisis’ service development programme, supporting a directorate of approx. 400 staff as they transition to a new way of working.
You’ll lead on translating the vision for the programme into a compelling narrative and internal communications and engagement plan to inspire and motivate staff across the directorate.
You’ll work with colleagues in the Internal Communications team to make sure that staff across the organisation have a clear understanding of the vision for the programme and what it means for Crisis’ staff and members.
You’ll also contribute to the wider work of the Internal Communications team, supporting staff engagement as a whole and working to meet the team’s priorities for 2021/22.

About you
As a key stakeholder in the services development programme, you’ll have sound knowledge of Crisis’ broader strategic aims and workstreams and will help to make sure the programme dovetails into these.
In addition to supporting the programme, you’ll also support non-programme communications and updates into and out of the directorate, building a two-way approach to communications and engagement.

You will be a confident communicator, with experience of working in a communications role either as a manager, lead or partner. You’ll be a strategic thinker with experience of leading change communications and will be driven to support Crisis’ mission to end homelessness.

In this role, you will report into the Head of Internal Communications but will be accountable to the Director of Services Development for programme associated work.
