Crohn’s & Colitis UK has a well-established direct marketing programme, and donations from our supporters are crucial to our vital work in supporting those diagnosed or affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. This role is a great opportunity to encourage donations and committed giving from supporters through direct mail, digital appeals, and email marketing. You will also have the opportunity to deliver innovative and effective recruitment strategies, reduce attrition and encourage supporters to continue giving to the charity.
Working as part of the multi-functional Individual Giving Team, you will help develop and deliver high quality appeals and campaigns with a focus on ensuring good levels of supporter stewardship. Building on insight, you will trial and test supporter audiences from our CRM database, as well as highlight cross promotional opportunities to our supporters.
Our office is located in Hatfield, Herts, however, like many organisations we are all currently working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic, although previously we were largely office based. Due to the experience we have gained during this period, consideration will be given to requests for working from home arrangements.
You will have experience of direct marketing fundraising and delivering successful direct marketing campaigns, and experience of regular giving and lottery programmes including both acquisition and retention. You will need to be confident in utilising multi-channel marketing and have knowledge of developing and delivering high quality membership journeys and communication plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must as well as the ability to write engaging content. You will also have excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills, building relationships with key stakeholders, external suppliers and colleagues in other departments.
