An exciting opportunity to support our expanding Knowledge & Evidence team in communicating evidence about Crohn’s and Colitis. In this role you will work with our Higher Education partners with roles in Cochrane, the world leaders in evidence synthesis, to translate research findings of the latest studies into accessible information for everyone affected by Crohn’s or Colitis, making them available quickly, and in an appropriate format.
You will also work with healthcare professionals to increase awareness of the charity and ensure that our information meets the needs of people with Crohn’s and Colitis, and is marketed, promoted and disseminated effectively to people who need it.
Our office is located in Hatfield, Herts, however, like many organisations we are all currently working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic, although previously we were largely office based. Due to the experience we have gained during this period, consideration will be given to requests for working from home arrangements.
You will have a proven ability to synthesise medical information from diverse sources and translate findings for a range of audiences, and you will also have experience of using standards of evidence frameworks to critically appraise evidence. You will have a good knowledge of research methodologies and evaluating data, and an excellent understanding of producing quality patient information.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of working to brand and information production guidelines will certainly help you in this role. A high level of accuracy and close attention to detail is a must and you will also be highly organised and efficient with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks and work well under pressure.
