We are working in partnership with Crossroads Care Surrey who are one of the region’s leading charities providing respite breaks for carers.  They enable Carers to benefit from respite breaks with the peace of mind from knowing that loved ones are in the safe, reliable hands of professional carer support workers who are trained in all aspects of care delivery.

Crossroads Care Surrey is now seeking to appoint three Trustees to play a key role in the leadership and governance of the charity by setting the future strategy and assuring the quality and focus of services that they provide improve the quality of life of Carers in the community.

You will be joining a group of dedicated colleagues on the Board and Management team.  You will be contributing positively to Board discussions including setting policy, budgets and goals, evaluating performance against agreed targets, keeping abreast of and meeting our legal, governance and quality standards.  We are seeking people with expertise in three key areas:

  • Clinical; experience within a health or care environment, ideally having managed a clinical team and possess a sound knowledge of CQC, clinical governance and safeguarding.
  • Finance; ideally a fully qualified accountant with a sound understanding of charity financial management and systems.
  • Digital; the successful applicant may come from a senior IT management and possess a clear understanding of IT architecture, integrating systems and maximising technology. Alternatively the candidate will come from a digital marketing background with significant brand experience working on campaigns, social media, SEO and websites.  

Trustees should be able to commit themselves to the work of the Board for at least 12 days per annum (for further details see role descriptions).  Board members will serve on a voluntary basis, though reasonable expenses will be paid.
