Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for two, temporary, part time Children and Young People’s Officers to provide bereavement support, information, and guidance to our bereaved community. The post holders will be expected to manage a range of children’s bereavement services in the Birmingham Area, ensuring the highest standards of bereavement support are available to Birmingham families, with specific emphasis in Children and Young people in our most deprived areas.

This post is funded by a specific grant managed by Birmingham City Council Public Health team

The candidates must be able to work 2 to 3 days per week, at least one late shift (until 8pm) per week, and the occasional Saturday morning shift. It will also be expected that the successful candidates will attend at least 15 hours Continuous Professional Development Training per year, with training often held on a Saturday.
