Job description

Research in Practice is renowned in children’s services and the adult social care sector for providing high-quality learning events and resources.

We have a vacancy for a Digital Assistant to assist the Web Systems Team supporting existing websites, new developments and working with a wide range of people.

Digital Assistant – Research in Practice
Location: Dartington Hall (Dartington/Sheffield/Remote Working)
Salary: £19,035
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2022.

We are seeking a highly organised, creative and technically competent individual to assist with daily team tasks as well as supporting the wider functions of our organisation as necessary including Business Support, Publications, Marketing and Comms, and Account Management.

You will possess excellent administration and time management skills with the confidence to learn new software and techniques. A good understanding of office and web technologies is essential, and ideally a broad understanding of the wider digital field and how it’s evolving.

You will have the opportunity to increase your experience and develop your skills, bringing new and creative ideas for our digital offerings.

Some of the main things you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting the Digital Team with daily digital tasks relating to uploading website content, using digital media and supporting marketing activities.
  • Assisting the Digital Team with web development and project tasks such as website functionality testing, scoping creative solutions, design workshops and communicating change.
  • Contribute to the support activities we provide to wider colleagues and partners including managing our support mailbox and updating FAQ resources.
  • Deliver website, CMS and CRM administrative support, customer service, issue reporting and general management of tasks and issues.
  • Support Research in Practice colleagues in the appropriate use of digital resources, acting as a champion for raising digital literacy across the organisation.
  • Adhering to and championing the in-house style and brand guidance.
  • Adhere to data protection guidance and legislation.
  • Supporting the Digital Team, including the Web Systems Officer and Coordinator, and Communications, Marketing and Engagement Officer and Coordinator as required.
  • This list can never be exhaustive but covers most of the work you’ll be doing. What it can’t replace is talent, initiative and a commitment to great customer service.

We work with clients across England and Wales from our main office in Dartington, Devon and a satellite office in Sheffield. Candidates can apply to work in either location or request to work from home.
