circa £28,500 per year
Temporary, Full-time
Job description

There are currently over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and this is expected to increase to 1.1 million by 2025, and 2 million by 2050.

In response to this Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions people need. The unique dementia expertise and experience an Admiral Nurse brings is a lifeline - it helps everyone in the family to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

The charity has seen significant income growth over the past four years, (income has more than doubled to over £9m), and we have ambitious plans to maintain this growth so we can significantly increase the number of Admiral Nurses, and the specialist support they provide.

Community Fundraising will play a key part in this expansion, as a key income stream for the charity. The charity is very invested in community fundraising and there is a great deal of support for the team (and post holders) to help them continue this growth. This is a great opportunity for someone to have a real impact and make their mark across their region, raising vital funds and awareness.
