Job description

Depaul UK are currently recruiting for a passionate and goal-oriented Corporate Development Manager to join our Fundraising and Corporate Communications team on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £39,248 per annum + pension and other benefits.

Depaul UK works with some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK. We specialise in working in communities where poverty and long-term unemployment have resulted in generations of social exclusion and high rates of homelessness

Over the past 30 years, we have grown as an organisation and developed and enhanced our work and the impact it has across the UK.  Depaul UK has a wide range of services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness

The Corporate Development Manager role: 

This is an exciting opportunity where your skills will make a real difference to the community and to the lives of young, vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness.

As our Corporate Development Manager, you will be working to identify, manage and develop new corporate relationships to generate income to support Depaul’s mission of ending youth homelessness. You will also be responsible for managing current relationships with high value partners such as Deloitte and Amazon.

There is huge potential for growth within corporate fundraising at Depaul and you will play a pivotal role in maximizing this potential and scaling up our work to make a real difference to the lives of young people facing homelessness.

What makes the Corporate Development Manager role exciting?

  • A thorough induction and orientation to help you settle in and ensure you have the knowledge and support you need to perform your role.
  • Continuous support and supervision including reflective practice to develop your learning and skills as a practitioner.

What will ideally support your success as our Corporate Development Manager:

  • Significant experience in a senior corporate fundraising role, including experience of managing partnerships with National or Global companies
  • Experience of independently researching, approaching and winning new partnerships from scratch
  • Experience of writing/delivering compelling proposals, presentations and pitches that have successfully led to new business opportunities with corporate partners
  • Experience of managing high-profile fundraising/donor events
  • Experience of building and managing successful relationships with senior stakeholders / high value supporters that has led to income generation and/or supporter retention
  • Expert knowledge of the corporate fundraising landscape e.g. current trends, corporate motivations, different partnership models and methods of support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
