Depaul UK is one of the UK largest youth homelessness charities and we support those who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness. We are searching for a Night Support Worker to join our team in the Manchester. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £20,200 (FTE) Per Annum Plus Pension and Other Benefits.
We are currently developing and expanding the work that we do with young people to prevent homelessness. This includes our well-established Nightstop service, which provides a safe place to stay in the homes of volunteers, as well as working with families and delivering a programme to schools, colleges and other educational and youth settings.
The Night Support Worker Role:
As a night Support Worker, you will provide support to our residents at Burnage Lane supported accommodation project so that they can move from hostel living to their own independent accommodations.
You will also be responsible for all aspects of the support planning, risk assessment and move-on for caseload of residents, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and helping them progress towards independence.
You will run group sessions and other key activities within the accommodation to support residents’ individual development and social engagement.
As the service is accommodation based, you will ensure the accommodation is properly maintained by taking an active role in the upkeep of the physical spaces of the accommodation.
This job offers shift work pattern with a mixture of daytimes, evenings and weekends including bank holidays to ensure that residents have full staff support during their most difficult times

You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness.
- A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
