Depaul UK is one of the UK largest youth homelessness charities and we support those who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness. We are searching for a Support Worker to join our team in Bromley / Orpington.  In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £23,700 Per Annum Incl. LW (FTE) Plus Pension and Benefits.

We are currently developing and expanding the work that we do with young people to prevent homelessness. This includes our well-established Nightstop service, which provides a safe place to stay in the homes of volunteers, as well as working with families and delivering a programme to schools, colleges and other educational and youth settings.

The Support Worker Role: 

We have a fantastic new opportunity for two Support Workers to work alongside young people and empower them to live independently.

As a Support Worker you will devise individual support plans for our young people and help them to develop their independent living skills. You will also support them in accessing training, employment, education and opportunities to volunteer.

This service is accommodation based and you will provide a move on service to clients in supported or community-based accommodation.

What will ideally support your success in this Support Worker role?

You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.

  • Great experience working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
  • A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
