Devas Club is a well-established youth club, community centre and charity offering opportunities to residents of London and focusing its work on disadvantaged young people aged 8-25 years. Founded in 1884, we have been based in our multipurpose building in Battersea, London Borough of Wandsworthsince since 1970.
We have been providing activities for young people since we were founded. Devas Club sees itself as supporting all of a young person’s upbringing, and our stated aim is to develop self-reliant adults; all activities have the underlying theme that as young people and adults-in-waiting, whatever is organised for them at is judged against how it contributes to their eventual transition to adulthood.
We are seeking a proactive individual who will work closely with the trustees, club operations staff, senior youth workers, freelance sessional workers and volunteers to plan, coordinate and oversee a programme of activities run by the club. They will foster and maintain our relationships with partners including our ongoing collaboration with Wandsworth Council's children and young people services.
The postholder with oversee and collaborate on the development of programme content; and lead our monitoring and evaluation work to assess the impact of our youth programmes.
