Project Manager - Maternity Cover Contract

About Development Initiatives (DI)

We are an independent international development organisation that focuses on putting data-driven decision-making at the heart of poverty eradication.

We are now seeking a Project Manager to join our team on a maternity cover contract until the 31st December 2020. This contract has the potential to extend.

Your Role

As a Project Manager, you will be tasked with delivering a portfolio of projects.

In this important role, you will:

- Facilitate input and gain agreement from stakeholders regarding project scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality
- Manage contractor/consultant relationships
- Work with the Head of Project Manager to implement project management methodology across the organisation
- Support the development of bids when required
- Provide internal project status reports

About You

To join us as a Project Manager, you will need:

- At least three years’ experience of managing a range of diverse projects
- Experience of working in a matrix or project-based environment
- A proven track record of delivering projects to time, cost and quality
- Experience of facilitating the resolution of challenging project issues
- Previous experience of managing contractors and liaising with donors
- To be educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience)

A project management qualification (PMD Pro, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, APM, ITIL or similar) would be beneficial, as would experience of writing bids/proposals and supporting client/donor reporting.
