Job description

THE DEADLINE FOR THIS POST HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO THE 5TH AUGUST 2022

We are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser with a proven track record in the arts and SEND fundraising who would relish joining Different Planet Arts as we develop and grow. The inclusive arts fundraiser for trusts & foundation will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, managing and growing income generated from trusts & foundations for Different Planet Arts. Spread over 4  months and 12 to 15 days (neg) this fixed term freelance contract funded at £3000 will be pivotal to the organisations ongoing development.

We are an inclusive arts charity devising sensory theatre and inclusive arts events for children and young people with complex additional needs and their families to enjoy together. Based in Lewes we make ambitious, entertaining and inspiring shows for our audiences in Sussex and the Southeast.

We believe in a world where arts experiences and events are accessible to everyone and celebrated as part of the everyday cultural landscape. We enable those who are often excluded and experience social isolation to participate in creative activities.

Working with the Artistic Director, you will develop and implement strategies to balance the relationship management of our much-valued existing portfolio of funders and the recruitment of new ones to maintain and grow income.

We have exciting plans and clear targets for the next three years that will allow our organisation and programme to develop and to reach more people with our inclusive arts provision.

We are looking for a specialist in trusts and foundations fundraising for small to medium sized organisations. Knowledge of overall funding development including community fundraising, high-value donors, legacies and sponsorship is desirable, especially if this role were to develop beyond the fixed term.

You will have a genuine commitment to equality of opportunity and an understanding of the barriers that prevent full participation in society by marginalised or excluded groups – and how these barriers can be removed

This role will suit you if you want to work within a friendly, hard-working, energetic small team.  Come and join us!
