Tearfund are looking for a UX Team Leader to join our Digital and Content Team. This is a new role where you will combine excellent leadership with creative design skills, working to inspire supporters and equip global development partners for one of the UK's leading Christian relief and development agencies.
We are looking for a candidate who can strategically lead a multi-disciplinary team to create excellent user experiences for our audiences. They will be both collaborative and confident, working closely with other leaders in the team to refine our delivery model and place/user needs at the heart of everything we do. You'll promote UX design best practice through all stages of that process.
They will also be a skilled and creative designer who loves getting hands-on with design work. You'll join agile teams to deliver concepts and ideas that continually improve the digital services and products we offer, enabling an effective response to Tearfund's vision and mission.

Sightsavers is looking for a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) professional with advocacy experience within an NGO/INGO to support monitoring advocacy work across the organisation. This is a 9 month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced monitoring, evaluation, analysis, and learning professional with strong understanding and experience of advocacy within an NGO/INGO. You will play a key role in ensuring advocacy in Sightsavers is monitored effectively, and input on Sightsavers strategic data analysis. Building on Sightsavers existing advocacy data systems, you will ensure effective data collection, visualisation and analysis; ability to develop dashboards using PowerBI would be of particular interest, although this is not essential.
Key duties will include:
- Delivering systems for collecting, managing, and analysing information about national advocacy
- Lead on the coordination of Sightsavers’ Voluntary Stakeholder Review of SDG implementation
- Strengthening systems for sharing lessons about what works and identify challenges that are faced by multiple countries
- Engaging in internal Policy and Global Advocacy and organisational processes
The post holder may be expected to travel internationally once or twice within the 9-month contract.

- Degree or higher in a Social Science, or equivalent working experience
- Experience of supporting national advocacy within a global advocacy strategy within INGO/NGOs
- Significant experience of monitoring, evaluation, and learning within an INGO context
- Experience working with data management information systems and applying data analysis/statistical techniques to data
- Knowledge of current issues and best practice in development particularly in advocacy monitoring and evaluation

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
Girls Not Brides is seeking an experienced digital communications professional to manage the Girls Not Brides website in English, French and Spanish, including website development, maintenance, continuous improvement planning, infrastructure, architecture, and user journey. You will be responsible for implementing a website improvement project and a new members area. This role will also be responsible for developing and producing performance data, evaluation, and reporting across our digital channels. We are looking for someone who has a passion for managing websites, using data to improve performance and engagement, and using digital platforms to drive movements. The successful applicant will support across our digital channels. This role sits in the Communications Team and reports to the Communications Manager. You will work closely with external website developers to deliver a website that showcases Girls Not Brides and our role as the global movement to end child marriage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Girls Not Brides website (70%)
- Lead the development and implementation of the website improvement strategy and project plan, with support from the Communications Manager.
- Recommend and manage changes to the website architecture, front-end design, features, integrations, and user-journey improvements.
- Manage the day-to-day of activity of Girls Not Brides website, including uploading content in 3 languages (English, French and Spanish), optimising content for web, updating static pages when needed, and recommending updates and upgrades to the CMS.
- Responsible for managing website projects, including the upgrade, update and support and maintenance pipeline, as well as larger-scale changes to website functionality and architecture, managing external contractors to produce the work required on time and within budget.
- Research and implementing best-practices for search engine optimisation (SEO) across website copy and architecture.

1. Provide a valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands;
OR
2. Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role.
AND
- Demonstrate Muslim Hands’ values and ethics in own working practices, approach and conduct
- Support with other Fundraising activities from time-to-time, committing to partake in live TV-Appeals during our peak periods.
- Undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by Line Manager
- Promote and adhere to all Muslim Hands Policies, Procedures and Professional Practices
