The role of the Senior Digital Marketing Executive is to ensure we provide a great supporter experience to any person, company or organisation who donates to the Epilepsy Society and to help the fundraising and marketing teams increase our number of supporters and fundraisers through digital acquisition.
As part of the Charity’s in-house marketing agency, you will support in responding to briefs from other departments and work closely with their teams to create and deliver marketing plans which deliver on revenue and strategic priorities. You will also work closely with multiple stakeholders, including our digital agency and the other teams within the Fundraising and Marketing Department and the wider organisation.
This role involves supporting various digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, and data analytics. The postholder will be responsible for a range of tasks to support the efficient and effective running of a fundraising and marketing team dealing directly with donors at all levels to ensure they have the best donor experience. We need someone to help us to reach new people online, drive income and build an enhanced online supporter experience.
There is flexibility within the role; with a hybrid working approach of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Community Fundraiser – North East England
Ideal locations include Newcastle, Carlisle or Durham, to allow travel around North East of England.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.
Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.
By generating the income, we need to realise our ambitions you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.
This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude.
You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.
You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.
You’ll also be able to support and inspire our volunteers, ensuring that these vital links between our Charity and the fire and rescue services are happy and fulfilled in their roles.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you’ll be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a digital marketing expert to join the Digital Engagement Team at Alzheimer’s Society. Now is an exciting time to join the team as we look to use insight to drive and develop our communications with supporters and improve the supporter experience. The successful candidate will play an integral role in helping us achieve this alongside exploring new and improved ways of delivering our stewardship, email automations and SMS campaigns.
With your experience of email marketing and engagement, you will play a key role in the designing, building, testing and delivery of e-newsletters and email campaigns to the teams within Income & Engagement, to help support their marketing campaigns and appeals to our warm supporters.
You will:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to plan, build, quality assure and report on email campaigns and email automations
- Use your knowledge and expertise to deliver SMS campaigns through dotdigital and Cymba, our primary SMS messaging tool.
- Provide training for teams on our email service provider (dotdigital).
- Embed email marketing skills and best practice across the organisation.
- Actively use reporting, analysis and insight to help departments develop and optimise campaigns.
- Support colleagues to test hypotheses and continuously innovate.
- Be a trusted expert and a critical friend to our fundraising teams and other colleagues.
- Play a crucial role in deepening understanding of Alzheimer’s Society’s supporters.

About the role:
As a Marketing and Digital Content Creator, you will play a vital role in elevating YMCA Leicestershire’s brand and engaging our supporters through captivating digital content.
Marketing and communications make an important contribution to the growth and success of the organisation, with impactful stories and campaigns increasing our visibility in the local community. In 2022 we joined the YMCA national brand, but we’re the same independent local charity. This gives us access to many resources and helps us have a stronger voice on young people’s issues
This new Marketing and Digital Content Creator role will work alongside the Fundraising and Communications Manager and Partnerships and Events Fundraiser. The work is varied with different events and projects arising throughout the year and the team works collaboratively to achieve targets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing digital plans to grow audience engagement and brand awareness.
- Creating exciting content for campaigns, emails, social media, and our website.
- Coordinating marketing projects and print materials across different service areas.
- Leading digital marketing efforts for fundraising campaigns, including regular giving and tailored communications.

- A recognised formal qualification in Marketing/Digital
- Minimum level 2/GCSE in Maths and English
- Proven & relevant suitable experience in a Marketing/Digital content role
- Strong digital marketing skills, including content creation, scheduling and monitoring. Familiarity with paid digital advertising and social media platforms
- Experience of designing print and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design programmes

Cardiomyopathy UK is a specialist national charity for people affected by cardiomyopathy, a condition that affects the heart muscle.
This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on our new 5-year strategy. We have set ambitious goals to reach more people affected by cardiomyopathy, and this role will play a key part in helping us to achieve them.
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring marketing and communications person to join our Fundraising and Marketing team. You will be working alongside our existing Marketing and Communications Officer, where you will both be responsible for raising the profile of the charity across multiple channels so that more people can access our services and support our work, ensuring that key messages, tone of voice and brand guidelines are implemented effectively and consistently across the charity.
You will have a proven track record of working in marketing and communications, copy writing with excellent attention to detail. This role includes writing news articles and case studies, managing social media and website updates. Working collaboratively across the team, you will work alongside the marketing team to help develop, deliver and co-ordinate an integrated and effective marketing and communications plan.
As a small charity, this post is very much “hands-on” and requires an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time.
