At the heart of the Christian faith is a call to live generous lives. We’re looking for a creative and faith-driven individual to come to stimulate the spiritual gift of generosity in Derbyshire and lead individuals and churches into the joy of giving.
The post holder will be passionate about seeing local church flourish and recognise the importance of living in a generous way. This is likely to be demonstrated by a variety of means including unpacking generosity as a part of discipleship, delivering practical tools and developing volunteer teams.
In exchange for a positive demeanour, exceptional people skills, and an organised and methodical approach to the task the postholder will work within a supportive Discipleship, Mission and Ministry team as they connect with and strengthen local parish churches. With a background likely to be in sales, fundraising or some form of Christian ministry the postholder will help the diocese step into its vision of seeing the ‘Kingdom of God, Good news for all! Transformed Lives: Growing Church, Building Community’.
A working knowledge of the CofE and familiarity with current stewardship practice will be a distinct advantage, the ability to drive will be essential!
