Job description

The Diocesan Safeguarding trainer will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering a programme of core and specialist Safeguarding Training, encouraging best practice and support of procedures throughout parishes and chaplaincies in order to safeguard children and adults. They will work closely with the Safeguarding Team to help coordinate, plan and monitor all aspects of safeguarding training within the Diocese of Guildford. The role is busy and varied, with some out of hours support required and a need to travel around the diocese to support parishes and their teams. Our salaries are competitive within the charity sector with a generous non-contributory pension provision. Due to the Covid pandemic, we are currently able to work remotely from the safety of our own homes, but once we are able to return, we have an attractive, open-plan office and surroundings at Church House Guildford (with free parking available). For this particular role, initially there may be some homeworking (due to Covid) with a gradual introduction into the parishes and office.
