We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person who is passionate about improving the learning environments and school sites of our 83 Church of England schools across the Diocese of Guildford.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Buildings Officer to join our Education Team to assist us in ensuring we are meeting the statutory obligations in the provision of our school buildings, related properties and supporting other officers with school organisation matters.
A good up-to-date knowledge of the buildings sector and experience of financial systems and processes is essential with further training and development available as part of the induction process.
Candidates should have experience of project management, whilst a legal or accountancy background as well as any experience in the field of education could be helpful.
It is essential that candidates communicate effectively as liaising with professional bodies, independent advisors, school governors and local authorities will be a key part of this role.
You will work alongside our Lead Buildings Officer supporting colleagues in reporting to the Diocesan Board of Education’s Building & Estates Committee.
The successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle as this position will require some travel.
Candidates should support the ethos, aims and objectives of Christianity, the Church of England and the Diocese.
