Our transformation programme has highlighted the need to create this new role as we wish to use data in an ever more sophisticated way to improve our use of resources and strategy delivery.
The successful post holder will creatively bring together data (for example demographic, financial and statistics for mission), enabling us to better understand the diocese and its operations, the nature of parishes, what is going on in parishes, and to plan for the future. We have already developed some data tools but are keen to improve and develop these with the right expertise.
To provide usable information and insights that will help the diocese pursue its strategy, further develop mission and measure progress. Supporting a new multi-disciplinary way of working with data sets to help inform decision making and the allocation of resources will be key part of the role.
The work will involve creating and aligning master datasets, developing information dashboards, identifying areas in need of further exploration / discussion sharing fresh insights.
This is an exciting opportunity for an information analyst with a record of delivering insights to supporting our transformational change, which is seeking to enable spiritual and numerical growth across the Diocese. You will combine strong analytical skills and a flair for insight and getting to the key issues, with the emotional intelligence to engage constructively with others in support of strategic decisions.
At present this post is funded to the end of 2026. It is our intention to review our long-term needs before the end of this funding and therefore also the future of this post.
