Job description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high quality, dedicated support to the Archdeacons. This is an opportunity for an organised and motivated individual to have a significant impact through the provision of excellent personal secretarial and administrative services.

Duties include diary management; dealing with correspondence and papers; preparing for and sometimes attending meetings; maintaining records and working across the organisation with colleagues to enable to effective operation of the office of the Archdeacons as part of the wider diocese.

A key aspect of the role is communications. This includes regular contact with a range of stakeholders including clergy, volunteers, congregation members, Bishops and partner organisations. This is work that requires care and sensitivity, and the ability to learn quickly as we are a unique organisation. You will often be responding on behalf of the archdeacons, so must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality and high accuracy. Confidence with IT including the main Office tools is essential.
