About the Team:
The WaterAid IT team is customer-facing with a remit for front-line service operations, cyber security, technology change and project delivery, in addition to the development and support of IT infrastructure and application services running across our global organisation. The team also has direct responsibility for 250+ staff working in the UK and provides services and support for WaterAid staff across 20+ countries.
About the Role:
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities whilst creating a sense of teamwork by pulling together colleagues with differing skillsets and expertise.
- Implement processes for tracking procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of all IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses. This will require collaboration with our managed service provider.
- Act as the ITSM tool global administrator, assisting country program offices with maintenance, support, access, development of processes & training.
- Develop, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and organisational goals.
- Manage the IT departments hub on the internal intranet platform, ensuring that it provides up-to-date information, news, and resources to employees.
- Oversee the transition of completed IT projects from the internal IT operations team, with potential collaboration from 3rd parties to the MSP service delivery team.
- Collaborate with the finance department to code, integrate, and maintain IT-related financial transactions in the organisation's financial systems ensuring accurate allocation of costs, budgets, and expenses related to IT operations.
- Provide oversight and leadership to the Global IT Operations team to ensure a high-quality service is delivered that meets the needs of the stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a centralised knowledge base repository containing technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, best practices, and user manuals.
- Ensure that IT policies are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders and are consistently followed.
- Evaluate and implement automation tools and technologies to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce human error.
- Develop technical relationships with key suppliers and business partners.
- Ensure that project handover agreements are clearly defined, detailing responsibilities, documentation, support processes, and timelines.
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Organise the establishment and configuring of training resources for global IT staff as required.
About You:
- Proven experience in IT Service Management.
- Effective leadership and team management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of ITIL framework and practices to ensure effective IT operations.
- Experience of working in technical teams delivering complex solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills and experience of liaising with senior stakeholders to deliver activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Be able to demonstrate evidence of delivering successful target operating model improvements.
- Adept at using relevant software tools and platforms for asset management, knowledge base management, project management, and more.

New Routes Integration

Principle purpose of the post:
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely.
The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.
In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.

About the Role:
This role is home-based with regular travel throughout the region. The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support.
As the Operations Manager for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.
You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.
You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering Thames Valley and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.
Your will provide direct line management to the Victim Awareness Officer who will play a key role in planning & delivering training and raising awareness of activities. You will support them in the recruitment & development of an active cohort of volunteers performing the roles of Criminal Justice and Engagement Champions.
As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.

Estates and Operations Manager

The role
Children's Hospices Across Scotland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of our properties and facilities across the organisation. In this critical role, you will oversee a dedicated internal team and external contractors, while ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative and Health and Safety requirements. You will lead a team, coordinating all hard facilities management services, day to day property management, implementing planned and preventative maintenance strategies and maintaining high industry standards for CHAS facilities. You will procure and lead on small projects working closely with our internal teams. Additionally, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff in our hospices to meet the ongoing needs of children, families, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust planned and preventative maintenance programme to ensure the safety, operation and compliance of the CHAS estate.
- Manage reactive maintenance activities, effectively prioritising requests and allocating resources.
- Oversee the development and delivery of the Asset Management plan and works programme, including condition surveys, informing budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Plan and execute capital works projects, from tendering to commissioning and overseeing project teams.
- Specify, tender, negotiate, and manage Estate, Hard FM contracts and services.
- Monitor and report on the assigned Estate Management and Hard FM budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and preparing multi-year forecasts.
- Ensure statutory compliance, conducting assessments, audits, and inspections while maintaining relevant records.
- Lead sustainability and energy management efforts, promoting environmental action plans and managing utility contracts.
- Oversee security procedures and systems for all CHAS sites.
- Develop and maintain effective systems for estate data management.
- Manage the Hard FM Team, supporting staff development.
- Communicate effectively with Operations Manager Soft FM and Head of Facilities Management & Projects to address site issues and prioritise actions.
Requirements
- Degree/HNC/HND in a Property or Building Services discipline or five years' relevant experience in a similar role.
- Possess IOSH Managing Safely Qualification.
- Proactive with a positive attitude and excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Highly developed communication and collaboration skills with the ability to simplify technical information.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Wide and detailed knowledge of Hard FM Services, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in managing multi-site estates with both owned and leased premises.
- Demonstrated team management and organisational skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience in contract management of outsourced services and suppliers.
- Detailed knowledge of statutory compliance and legislative requirements in property and facilities management.
- Experienced in the use of building management systems and project management.
- Budget management skills and experience.
- Ability to travel to each of our sites across Scotland.

Further Information
CHAS support families across the whole of Scotland. Our Head Office is based in Edinburgh, and we have two hospices: Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch. We also have our fundraising office in Glasgow, dedicated bases in Aberdeen and Inverness, and Shops in Dunfermline and Kinross.
As this role will closely support our hospices, we would like to speak to candidates who could base themselves from either Edinburgh, Kinross or Balloch and we do expect regular travel across these sites with predicted 3 days onsite/week, varying as needed. The remaining days can be worked remotely.
As a team we work flexibly and are happy to discuss how we can meet business needs while accommodating individual working patterns and requirements.

Our Migrant Children’s Project promotes the rights of refugee and migrant children, young people and families through the delivery of advice, practice change through training and capacity building to professionals and systems change through research, policy and advocacy.
About the role
This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.
The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.
This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. However, on other days the candidate could be based in the London or Colchester office.
Whilst this is a full-time position, we will consider requests for part-time working (28 hours per week minimum) and we will endeavour to offer some flexibility with days and hours to be agreed.

Overall purpose of the post:

About EFA
English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. This new role will work across varied charity management projects to help set up a new UK office for a fast growing medical INGO that has already treated over 13 million patients across Africa!
It will include leading on a broad range of projects that support the set up and management of the UK registered office and will require working autonomously while being part of an experienced and supportive team. Role Context
ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable. We need someone reliable who enjoys and has a proven track record of leading and delivering on operational projects for a business or charity while working with senior stakeholders. They should be a highly organised self-starter who is able to work autonomously and lead on projects as well as a great team player.
The role is varied and has a significant financial element, so strong numerical skills and good written communication skills are both important as well as a flexible, responsible approach. Ideally they will also have experience of, and good knowledge of, the charity sector in the UK.
This role is posted as a one year contract as the needs of the business are changing as the organisation develops. At the end of the year the needs of ALIMA will be reviewed and there may be scope to further shape the role, depending on the needs of the business and funding available at the time.

- Position is largely remote/ working from home, with c. two days in London required per month (usually Putney or Kings Cross - N.B. if you are outside london cost of travel will be your responsibility)
- Hours are partially flexible but require 75% to fall within main office hours for the team (Monday to Thursday 9 to 5)
RESPONSIBILITIES
ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Driving and implementing a varied range of projects that support the smooth set-up of the UK charity, in collaboration with the UK Head of Development
- Virtual Office Management, including organising cloud based filing systems, managing resources including IT, coordinating information collection
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Working with the Head of Development & Chair to create and develop new financial management systems for the charity
- Ongoing management of the financial systems of the charity including bookkeeping, invoice management and basic reporting
- Working with colleagues to produce financial reports for the Board, donors and others on request
EVENT & PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATION
- Coordination of small events
- Organising and coordinating staff and trustee visits to the UK and overseas
SUPPORTING SENIOR STAKEHOLDERS
- Organise UK board meetings including booking venues, finalising and circulating papers, minute taking
- Copywriting
Any other duties as may be reasonably required as part of supportive team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
REQUIRED
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Experience working for a UK-based charity in an administrative, executive support, finance, fundraising or project management role
- Strong project management skills: a track record of successfully driving small to medium-sized projects
- Strong numerical skills, including experience reporting on or managing budgets, producing management accounts or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Excellent organisational skills: Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied and demanding workload to meet deadlines
- Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders including Senior level staff, donors and volunteers
- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising in the UK charity sector
