The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.

This new role will lead on Platform’s People and Process functions as we progress through the next stage of our exciting restructure process.

We are a flat-structured organisation that makes decisions collectively. We are currently developing and designing a new organisational structure based on sociocracy where staff are supported to work more collectively and strategically across our seven programs. 

The focus of this role will be on transforming and strengthening our HR systems and processes to centre compassion, care and liberation. As well as delivering the day-to-day HR functions within our small organisation, this role will lead on the long-term design and implementation of a People Strategy and a Learning and Development Strategy, supporting our staff to develop their own roles while growing as a team within our new structure. Key priorities for this work will be:

• Leading a review of recruitment practices, with a particular focus on equity and anti-oppression

• Leading a review of our line management practices and processes

• Supporting the review of our Socially Just Waging System policy

This role will sit within our new ‘Resourcing Circle’ - working with the Finance and Fundraising staff and liaising with our Board of Trustees.

We are looking for someone passionate about radical HR practices, who is excited to help us develop a structure that empowers and adequately resources our team to deliver their work.

Details:

Hours: 4 days: 32 hours per week based on a 40 hour week, flexible hours possible.

Duties and responsibilities:

People work

• Working within the Resourcing circle to manage all aspects of our People work

As the Training Programmes Manager you will have oversight and responsibility for the healthcare professional training projects and activities, as well as growing the M4RD network within HCP groups and training institutions.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. We are now working with more women who have experienced multiple removals than anyone else in the country.

The Pause Practice Lead will manage one of our largest teams – six Pause Practitioners and one Coordinator. The Practice Lead will ensure effective delivery of the Pause programme – they will work alongside their team, bringing a wealth of direct practice experience of complex work to maximise the team’s potential. 

The Practice Lead will provide high levels of supervision and leadership to team members from a variety of disciplines, as well ensuring fidelity and integrity to the model. They will typically have significant experience in both operational and project management, with an ability to manage complex data and demonstrate impact. Additionally, they will usually have experience of evidence informed approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively lead and coach the Pause Practice to achieve positive outcomes for women - setting vision, targets and priorities;
• Ensure fidelity and integrity to the model through delivery of the Pause Framework elements, for example, assertive outreach with women and ensuring the most effective form of long-acting reversible contraception is in place;
• Ensure effective pathways are established and maintained with key agencies, e.g. sexual health, housing and mental health;

Job Purpose

• To deliver high-quality independent information and advice to adults, their carers and families

• To provide support to the advice service with appropriate and proportionate triage.

• To help clients with their enquiries by providing accurate information and signposting.

• To support to the smooth running of the Age UK East London Helpline.

Key Tasks

• To provide an open access front door for AUKEL advice in our Newham Office during office hours.

• To provide information and advice to older people and their carers on matters of social welfare, housing, health and social care etc

. • To triage and allocate referrals for the advice team ensuring that referrals for case work are appropriate and within the scope of our service.

• To provide information, advice and support to older people and their carers enabling them to access services and remain independent.

• To carry out welfare benefit calculations.

• To maintain accurate case records to Advice Quality Standard and in line with relevant legislation.

• To support all Age UK East London Advice Services to manage demand.

• To maintain a welcoming reception area and ensure all resources and information are up to date

• External representation at meetings with key stakeholders.

General

•To meet regularly with line manager for support, supervision and appraisal.

•To attend team and staff meetings, (and other meetings) as required.

•To undertake any other duties within the competence of the post holder as may be required from time to time for the continued smooth running of Age UK East London.

•To undertake all training required to fulfil the role.

•To carry out the duties of the post in accordance with Age UK’s East London’s policies and procedures including EDI, Health & Safety, Confidentiality, Complaints, GDPR, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.

• The role reports to the Advice Team Leader.

Age UK is currently recruiting for a motivated Salesforce Training & Adoption Manager to lead on the training and strategy of our Salesforce solution. In this role, you'll be working directly with our extensive Partner Network, supporting them to gain the most value out of the solution.

As Salesforce Training & Adoption Manager, you'll have a pro-active, strategic, and concise approach, with exceptional stakeholder management skills. Working as part of the Service and Business Improvement team, you'll develop a training strategy for our Salesforce solution, implement successful adoption strategies for our different Network Partners, and create self-service training materials to support our different users.

This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. The expectation is that you will attend our London office once a week. There will also be regular travel to our local network partners across the nation.

Age UK internal grade - 6L

Must haves:

* Experience of providing training to end users of digital systems.
* Experience creating training strategies and plans.
* Significant experience of driving adoption of CRM solutions across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
* Experience of undertaking adoption reviews with staff groups, and achieving improvements in adoption of CRM solutions.
* Strong soft skills, with a confident and clear manner of presenting information in an engaging way.
* Must be understanding of the various challenges experienced with digital transformation projects.
* Experience of designing and developing training material.
* Confident use of Microsoft applications such as Office 365 Applications including Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
* Willingness to travel Nationally to various locations to deliver training and support.
* Experience facilitating listening groups and feedback sessions.

Great to haves:
* Experience working with non-profit organisations.
* Experience with Moodle.
* Experience with Salesforce service cloud.

As our Assistant Director of Supporter Engagement, you'll be an integral part of our External Engagement team, reporting to our Executive Director. Your days will be filled with strategic challenges and opportunities as you lead and manage our supporter engagement activities. From developing fundraising strategies, to overseeing our diverse portfolio of fundraising products, your leadership will drive sustainable growth in voluntary income and support.
